Germantown-based recording studio, Rittenhouse Soundworks presents a Coltrane-inspired Jam Session featuring the experimental music ensemble, Eye2Eye Trio. This group of sound explorers consists of Bert Harris - bass, Kim Pedro Rodriguez - drums, Elliott Levin - sax & flutes, with guest saxophonist, Larry Price. Expect an expansive, high energy event touching each era of the Coltrane musical legacy.
Musicians and other artists are encouraged to join in and celebrate one of America's most influential artists: John Coltrane.
This concert is also a presentation of Celebrating Coltrane 2017 in collaboration with The Free Library of Philadelphia, WRTI, PhillyCAM, WPPM, Fairmount Park Conservancy, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, South Jazz Cafe, Rittenhouse Soundworks and Jazz Near You. These events include concerts, discussions, screenings and broadcasts and will take place between September 18th to 24th, 2017.
