Big Brass 4tet is an ensemble formed for the 2018, Visit Philly - Summer Sounds Pop-Up concert series in Old City Philadelphia. The members of this group are composers who write their own music and are all leaders of their own groups. These musicians possess a broad kalidescope of musical tastes, interests and experiences, from Straight Ahead Jazz and Classical music, to Folk, Blues and Punk. These four artists always bring an open mind to the stage, as well as a no-limits approach to creating. At the upcoming Free Library of Philadelphia concert, this crafty group will continue its mission of inspiring introspection, joy, magic and good times.
Big Brass 4tet features...
Rob H. Henderson - drums, Dan Nosheny - tuba/sousaphone, Frank Rein - trombone, Koof ibi Umoren - trumpet & flugelhorn.
