A Dizzy Hour is a FREE Jazz-oriented, Happy Hour where we relax, enjoy good company, enjoy FREE beer, FREE wine and FREE snacks and of course, listen to great music. Named after Dizzy Gillespie these events acknowledge Dizzy's Philadelphia connections and present his music and the music of his protogees, whom include some of Philadelphia's most important Jazz musicians.
Last week, at Dizzy Hour #1, our guest host was Lenora Early, director of the John Coltrane House and although, we had a rainy night, the crowd was enthusiastic and enjoyed themselves. Comedian, Chip Chantry and his zany antics made sure of that.
This week, at Dizzy Hour #2, Michael Ricci, creator/owner of Jazz Near You/All About Jazz joined us as guest host to share info about his work and his life long love for this music. Along with him, we were entertained by female comedian, Ms. Darkchild. She's an hilarious, crazy mess and had the whole place cracking up!!
