“When you hear music, after it's over, it's gone, in the air. You can never capture it again.” ....Eric Dolphy
Since January of 2012, PJP has been presenting special events bringing together artists and audiences for some one of a kind experiences. If you missed one of those events, you missed a very special moment. The above photograph captures an image from one of those special moments. It is a shot of drummer, Justin Faulkner [left] and his younger brother, drummer Nasir Ebo [right]. They are performing at Frosty, our cool holiday celebration in December 2013. This was the very first time that these two brothers got a chance to perform together on stage. With two drums sets and an ensemble featuring Aaron Graves - piano, Mike Boone - bass, Victor North - sax and Daud El Bakara - trumpet, they made great music and some history.
If you missed that event, you missed a very, very special moment. Maybe your family members, friends, neighbors or co-workers, could have told you about it. Or maybe you saw some of the images on our website gallery.
But for sure, if you missed it, you missed it. Like Eric Dolphy said, "...after it's over, it's gone, in the air. You can never capture it again.”
