PJP Mixtape #2

mixtape2

Philadelphia is home to strong musical traditions like Jazz, Gospel, DooWop, R&B, Rock and Hiphop. Our greatest strength has been the unexpected and wonderful blending and swirling of these traditions into new and fascinating musical creations. That's what we did and that's what we still do. This mixtape series, available as a free download is an opportunity for you to check in and catch up with the amazing Philadelphia music scene. So, sit back, relax and enjoy some of the most talented vocalists and instrumentalists in the world.

It's finally here. Mixtape #2 - Also called Body And Soul features great performances by some of Philly's best vocalists. Presenting music by the immensely gifted and provocative, Bethlehem, the multi-talented singer/actress Suzann Christine, bebop master, singer and songwriter, Carol Harris, legendary songtress, Denise Montana, the brilliant pianist and educator, Suzzette Ortiz, and the superb singer/songwriter Najwa Parkins; as well as poetry by the unpredictable wordsmith, Lindo Jones.

Philly Jazz Quotes
